Strategic Partnerships Manager - National

The purpose of the role is to manage a specific portfolio of existing and target strategic customers UK wide, ensuring that growth and retention strategies are in place to maximise all opportunities for sales within the accounts. The role holder will be required to manage their diary and workload effectively and work with key stakeholders to develop robust sales and account management strategies built around sustainable growth ensuring a clear focus on margin. The role also includes managing relevant administrative tasks including but not limited to specific account plans and attending internal meetings to discuss and demonstrate actions and progress. The key responsibilities of the role are outlined below:

  1. Managing large company accounts to a defined plan including stakeholder management and relationship building at all levels.
  2. Conducting regular reviews with all strategic accounts to secure all business opportunities ensuring detailed minutes and actions are updated in the CRM. Quarterly face to face reviews as a minimum.
  3. Ensure pricing is in line with the business needs, pricing to be reviewed annually as a minimum.
  4. Working with the Support Services team and other internal stakeholders (such as finance) to ensure they give the highest levels of customer service to all Strategic accounts.
  5. Ensuring the Head of Strategic Partnerships (HSP) is kept updated (via monthly meetings) about Strategic accounts, new business opportunities and progress.
  6. Be the initial point of escalation in investigating and resolving queries and issues raised by any Strategic accounts within their portfolio.
  7. Taking a proactive approach to account management to ensure all contractual commitments around reporting are met.
  8. Working with the team and HSP to identify new opportunities for growth in different market sectors to build diversity of work into the depots thus reducing the reliance on the weather.
  9. Attend the Strategic sales meetings once per quarter presenting an overview of performance, plan for the following quarter and forecasting anticipated spend.
  10. Support the HSP to devise, implement and help the management of National accounts where required.
